Our tips for choosing a treadmill

The treadmill is suitable for all ages. One of the biggest advantages is that you can exercise at home if you do not have time to go to the gym. This machine is often used to rehabilitate after an injury or just to strengthen your muscles if you are on a diet.

Steering wheel and saddle

Before you buy, make sure the handlebars and saddle are adjustable, especially if more than one person will be using the trainer at home. Most bikes can be adjusted from 1.5 meters to 1.5 meters and up to 1.9 meters to 2.5 centimeters in height. If you want to know more, there are explanation on the online velo.  The saddle can be adjusted in depth and height, as can the handlebars.

If you choose a quality exercise bike, you will have several features, such as the ability to connect your smartphone with apps or accurate heart rate information using a heart rate sensor.

There are two types of resistance in exercise bikes. On the one hand, there is magnetic resistance, which is much easier to use and is a silent system. On the other hand, there is mechanical resistance, where you have to turn the handle to change the resistance.

Comfort and ergonomics

For more comfort, it is better to choose a exercise bike with straps on which you can put your feet and hold them firmly during the exercise. Also, choose equipment with soft pads on the handlebars to avoid blisters and pain on the handlebars.

Training programs

Many bikes have preloaded training programs in the console. If you train regularly, choose a machine with programs designed by physical education teachers. This way, you can better define your initial goals and achieve them. On some machines, you can choose from more than 25 programs, such as special programs for burning calories, increasing muscle strength or developing speed.
