Cafe-Restaurant Dauphine

The restaurant is located in what used to be the Renault-garage, opposite the Amstel Railway Station. The name “Dauphine” refers to a very successful type of car made by Renault in the early fifties. Also located in this building are Het Financieele Dagblad (leading financial newspaper), and BNR nieuwsradio (financial/business broadcasting station).

 

 
 
Caffè Toscanini

In 1985 Caffè Toscanini started as a tiny Italian restaurant in Goudsbloemstraat in the Jordaan, a typical quarter of Amsterdam. Soon it became known for its authentic Italian dishes, which were prepared with great care and served in a homely and relaxed atmosphere.
The wine list consists of sheer Italian wines whereby the accent lies on the indigenous species of grapes from regions ranging from the north to the south of Italy.
