The Old Masters Apartment is a luxurious canal house in de middle of Amsterdam’s ancient city centre. The building was constructed in 1610 and it has the grandeur one can only find in the historical buildings at the heart of Amsterdam. The apartment is located on the ground and first floor and has its own patio. Covering 125 square meters, it can host up to 6 persons and is ideal for any family of group of friends. The apartment is fully furnished in a warm, classic style. Additional to the lovely furnishing, it is beautifully decorated with copies of the Masterpieces like The Night Watch by Rembrandt and the Sunflowers by Van Gogh. And, if you desire to get up close the originals, all you have to do is walk around the corner.

Of course the copies of the Old Masters complete the feeling. After the entrance the living area can be entered on the left hand side. The living area is very light, thanks to the high windows on the street side of the building. The living area contains 3 comfortable sleeper sofas and of course all the luxuries one would want: a flat-screen TV, a DVD player, a hi-fi-stereo/CD and of course wireless Internet access. The toilet can be found just down the hall.

The bedroom is situated on the same floor as the living area and has a double bed (180X200cm). It is a quiet, peaceful room at the back of the apartment with a flat-screen TV, bedside tables, lamps and some storage space. The patio will give you the chance to take in some fresh air and enjoy the sun at one of the rare, quiet outside places in Amsterdam.

You can reach the kitchen by the staircase in the living room. The kitchen, too, contains all the conveniences that one might want. It contains a hob stove with 4 gas cookers, a microwave and an oven. But of course it also contains a dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, toaster, blender, juicer, kettle and coffeemaker. In the kitchen you will also find a large dining table with 6 chairs, TV and another sleeper sofa.

Bathroom
The glamorous bathroom is situated, like the kitchen, on the ground floor. You can enter it by using the other staircase. It contains a bath, separate shower, hand basin and toilet. Also, there is a separate box-room with a washing machine and dryer.

The patio will give you the chance to take in some fresh air and enjoy the sun at one of the rare, quiet outside places in Amsterdam.

The Old Masters Apartment is situated on the Weteringstraat, in the old centre of Amsterdam. It’s located in the Museum quarters, with numerous museums within a few minutes distance. Just opposite of the apartment you can already find famous Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. But also for the more obscure museum lovers there is plenty to see, like the Cats Museum of Bag Museum Hendrikje. Other attractions in the immediate neighbourhood are The Leidsesquare, several theatres, the PC Hooftstraat (the most famous shopping street) and Holland Casino. If you fancy a stroll, all you have to do is walk for 5 minutes and you will find yourself in the tranquil Vondelpark or you can take a look at the “Het Spiegelkwartier”, a street full of the antique shops and art galleries.
