Neighbourhood / Location

On the edge of the centre you will find one of the most cosmopolitan and vibrant districts of Amsterdam. Welcome to de Pijp.

de Pijp as we Amsterdammers know it today is without doubt a melting pot of cultures and nationalities. Thanks to previous settlers such as Heijermans, De Haan, Bordewijk, Mondriaan and scores of students in search of a cheap room to rent, de Pijp continues to breathe life as the lively bohemian district known as the Quartier Latin (Latin Quarter) in Paris. The young, old, students, artists, and families have all chosen to make de Pijp their home, and far removed from the hustle and bustle of central Amsterdam, this homely alternative is appealing. Today, de Pijp is so popular that house prices have gone up an astonishing 350%!

Apartment Includes

Baby Cot (optional), Balcony, Bath, Bedding and towels, Central Heating, Coffee Maker, Dishwasher, Flat Screen TV, Free WiFi Internet, Hairdryer, Information Map, Kettle, Microwave/oven combination, Pets Allowed, Smoker friendly

Far away the best solution for the quality/price combination i've ever found in 10 years of trips to Amsterdam, lot better i was expecting!
Senza dubbio di gran lunga la migliore soluzione per la qualita'/prezzo, che io abbia mai trovato in 10 anni di frequentazione assidua della capitale Olandese,!!!

    No negative comments.

This apartment is full of positives An absolutely tremendous apartment in both value and facilities. Not to mention the added bonus of the location for all amenities. Perfect and friendly customer service. Highly Recommended if you want a nice tranquil time in Amsterdam.

If anything was to be negative it would be the little bits of unfinished-ness with the renovations.

The apartment was absolutely beautiful, far and away exceeded our expectations and the pictures really do not do it justice!

We had a brilliant chat on arrival with our greeter who was interested in why we were visiting and happy to chat about our music interests and DJ heroes with us!

The location was also absolutely perfect, being situated in our favourit district, de Pijp, of Amsterdam.

Honestly, you just can't right this stuff!!! :D

We had to leave, that SUCKED!

Spacious studio apartment in a good area for restaurants, bars, coffeeshops, parks and Museumplein. Not handy for drunken mobs of weekending young men - so that's a good thing! we like this area and this apartment.

Some light bulbs needing replaced and there was a problem with the lighting on the stairs due to the owner working on the apartment upstairs. Philip from Amsterdam City Apartments was very helpful in making sure lights in the apartment were all working and telling us to phone if we needed any help with anything. Great service.

Very nice surprise to see that the apartment was like in the pictures. Really nice and spacious and in a very sweet district. But otherwise, the apartment was very nice

we had a problem with the wifi was not working at all. We even tried to buy a cable to fix the problem ourselves, but without success. We have reported and we could finally have a usb internet, better than nothing but still a bit annoying.

And the problem of price between House Trip and Amsterdam City Apartment. € 100 difference!! That's a lot for the commission for house trip ... I was really disappointed by the this side trip ... At least they agree to one another so that the customer does not see the difference in price!

The apartment was located in a convenient section of town accessible to public transportation and within easy walking to the Musuem quater. The apartment itself was very comfortable and homey.

We did not have a cell phone, so it was difficult to let the owners know when we would be arriving. Therefore, we had to track down a phone when we arrived and wait around for someone to show up with a key.

Great area: good restaurants & cafes nearby, cool neighbourhood, right on a tram line, two minutes walk from the market. The apartment was very bright and well-equipped, and spacious for a studio.

Very steep stairs up to the front door (not ideal with a baby buggy); bed not the comfiest.

Everything fine. Everything worked. Bright & light apartment, fully equiped. Very quiet, although in the middle of De Pijp. Bike rental very close (AJAX in Gerard Doustraat 153), coffee shop, too (KATSU in 1e van der Helststraat 70). No complaints, will come back.

The apartment was warm, spacious and cosy with high quality furniture, bed and kitchen. I would book again as it is a far better alternative to hotels.

The area (Gerard Doustraat) was quiet and convenient to reach the city centre.

The hallway needs a light and the DVD player did not play very well.
A saucepan also needs replacing as the handle fell off.

Very nice appartment, warm, good feeling, next to a market to the tram and restaurants and bars
Good service from aca - got the keys punctually. Good contact by mobile phone.

Missing a few things in the kitchen. small knifes, smale plates, wooden plates to cut meat
disharmony between housetrip and aca - different prices - unclear situation

Friendly service; the apartment is great, it's simple yet nothing is missing. Well sized for a couple. Nice and warm in winter with the extra electric heater. Great to reach the apartment and find basic things already available like coffee and sugar. A small thing that goes a long way.
Location is great with lots of take away restaurants in the vicinity as well as a supermarket. Transport also good with trams 16 and 24 making it easy to reach from the center and the train station. It's good to have some option for smokers, as it's increasingly difficult to find them these days.

Leakage from the bathroom ceiling, better check that one before it gets worse. 50 Euro charge for late check in is a considerable amount of money. Quite noisy at times in the evening, mainly from the floor above.
