The apartment is situated on 'Prinseneiland', part of the city centre, an island surrounded by canals, just west of Central Station in a quiet, historical area. Most places of interest are in walking distance, but if you would like to hop on the tram or bus to go places, there are stops very nearby. 
It is a three minute walk to bus stop18 and 22 from/to Central Station and tram line 3, the circle line that passes the museum area.
Leaving the Island, you enter the "busy city", where you find the Haarlemmerstraat, one of the nicest shopping and eating streets of Amsterdam, round the corner of the famous neighbourhood the "Jordaan". In the area is a broad variety of places where you will find breakfast, lunch or diner.

In front of the house is a nice place to sit and have drinks in the open air. You have also access to a lovely waterfront garden with views over the canals.

In a quiet area and close to Central Station

The apartment is just a short walk from Central Station and is located in Amsterdam centre in a historical area of warehouses, docks and shipyards now converted into a quiet, residential area just an interesting few minutes' walk away from the famous canal area and the highlights of Amsterdam. Bus stop and tram are nearby.

De Westelijke Eilanden (The Western Islands)

The Islands Realeneiland, Bickerseiland and Prinseneiland are three small unique islands that still belong to the Centre of Amsterdam. The atmosphere feels like a small quiet village of old shipyards, from which some are still functioning, and warehouses, most of them converted into apartments. Artists and people with creative professions came to this neighbourhood to find the quiet spirit of the past so close to the busy part of town.
