Bergstraat Residence

Introduction

Experience an exquisite blend of seventeenth century Amsterdam and a light modern style in this wonderful whole house. This original canal house is situated at the Bergstraat and lies between the Herengracht and the Singel, two of the most central canals in Amsterdam. The Bergstraat is closed for trafic so children can play freely outside! This whole family house in the Canal Belt can be yours!

The 140m2 canal house covers the whole building and counts five floors. It is fully furnished in a mixture between the warm classic style of seventeenth century Amsterdam and a light modern style. It has four beautiful bedrooms and three bathrooms with the original wooden ceilings and even an en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom.

The seventeenth century style does mean that the stairs are steep and narrow, but walking up those tiny stairs is a completely Dutch experience in itself.

Fantastic Apt. between two Canals in a very central and picturesque part of the city. Everything is within walking distance. ACA's service and reliability was top notch again (3rd. time using them) I Would like to thank Adriann for easy transfer to and from the airport and check in. I would recommend ACA for quality accommodation in Amsterdam. See you next year!

    indrukwekkend uitzicht over middeleeuws Amsterdam.
Wij voelden ons als Amsterdammers onder de Amsterdammers!
Alles wat de moeite waard is om in het centrum van Amsterdam te bezoeken ligt op loopafstand vanaf diet geweldige huis in de Bergstraat.
Alles was ver boven onze verwachtingen!
    Bedankt voor dit alles!

    Hartelijke groeten,
    Famillie C.Trippelvitz.

    Charles en Tineke.

First of all, an ode to those who House in Berg Straat so attractively arranged so that there was an extra dimension in our stay very positive sense.
We found it a truly authentic old Amsterdam House with lots of stuffy and unexpected surprises: with the most delicious beds and impressive views from the roof-terrace over medieval Amsterdam.
We felt as Locals under the people of Amsterdam!
Everything that worth is to visit in the Centre of Amsterdam is within walking distance from this great House in the Bergstraat.
Everything was mutch above our expectations!
    Thanks for all this!

Lovely house, very well equipped and clean. Location is ideal, 5 minute walk from Dam Square, would recommend it to anyone as long as you can climb lots of very steep staircases!! We enjoyed it and would come again without hesitation.

We have spent 3 days in May in this amazing residence, which not only is strategically located at a couple of blocks (5 min walking) from anywhere is worth visit (Dam Square, Haarlemmerstraat, De Wallen, Jordaan, Anne Frank Huis, etc) but reflect exactly what a group of friends needs during a relaxing an welcoming stay in this wonderful city.
The comforts the other reason you should choose this apartment: luxury at very reasonable fares are indeed the value for money compared to what you will find in the central area of Amsterdam, where usually you have to compromize between the two things.
We would definitely suggest this stay to everybody who's interested in coming to Amsterdam and certainly will be the place we will choose for the next year for our Yearly visit!

Absolutely great! We've been there (8 people) and it was just perfect! Location is top, interior design fantastic! Lot's of different floors and different styles of bedrooms, all decorated with love, fully equipped kitchen, all very clean... back next year for sure! All 8 people more then satisfied.

Unfortunately the Sauna wasn't working yet! Would have been great if that one would have worked, but not been such a big downer for us...

The canal house at Bergstraat is absolutely charming! The location is fabulous -- between Herengracht and Singel. Around the corner on Singel is one of my favorite corners in Amsterdam -- a fabulous coffee shop, the world famous Reypenyaer Cheese shop, and a charming cafe on the canal. Toward the Dam Square is a great gallery - Harry Van Gestel - and a cool clothing shop, Mud Jeans. The house is convenient walking distance to everything, from the museums to the 9 Streets, the Anne Frank House and even the hip Jordan neighborhood.

The house is tastefully and stylishly decorated. There's a beautiful view of the neighbor's rooftop garden from one of the bedrooms and the upstairs deck. The neighborhood felt very safe. It's a great house for a family or a group of friends -- the house very easily sleeps 8.

Our son especially liked the Buddha at the front of the house -- good karma!

We didn't have a hair dryer until I asked for one a few days into our stay. Other than that, though, it was a very comfortable stay and if we go back to Amsterdam, we would want to stay at Bergstraat. It's a great home away from home.
