The Amsterdam City Apartments Team:
As an entrepreneur I experienced everything hotels have to offer and found it sadly wanting. I created Amsterdam City Apartments to give visitors of Amsterdam the option I rarely encountered on my own travels: to find a home away from home. Accommodations that make you feel like a guest in the city instead of an outsider stuck in a hotel room.
I'm the founder and CEO of Amsterdam City Apartments, 54 years old, happily married and I have three children: Sander (15 years), Lisa (13 years) and Amber (8 years). I love good food, golf and a great sports match. I speaks Dutch, English and German.
As Operations Manager, I'm responsible for our exclusively managed self-catering apartments in Amsterdam. I work with a fantastic team and every day, we work hard to make the short stay of our guests as easy, care free and comfortable as possible. The best part of my job is the diversity it comes with. Every day is different. What I also like is that the company is relatively small with short communication lines. Changes and improvement can be made fast.
In my spare time, I like to hit the town, loves good food and fashion. I speak Dutch and English.
I'm one of the reservation agents and I take care of reservations made online, by email or by phone. I also check-in our guests with love and care. I love to read, watch sports, have good discussions and I like good food. I speak Dutch, English, German and French.
